The Poet's Roundtable of Arkansas Contest Chair is happy to answer questions.








Monthly Contests

2011-2012 Roundtable Monthly Contests

Contest Rules: Poems may be sent September through May, postmarked by the second Saturday of the month.  members may enter one poem per month with a limit of 36 lines for every month.  Entries may be mailed to : Kathy Helmer, 106 Fox Dell Circle, Jacksonville, R 72016.  Poem must be original and unpublished.  Place name and address on one copy only.  Winners receive a check of $15, $10, or $5.

Annual Anthology Contest
Each member may enter one unpublished poem in the annual Anthology contest by the December 31st deadline.  Poems entered in this contest must not be entered in other contests or submitted for publication until after the May meeting.  Awards are as follows:  Publication in annual 1st Place - 2 free copies; 2nd through 5th Place - 1 free copy.  See the Yearbook for specific instructions and entry address.
Sybil Nash Abrams Award
This contest is open to Arkansas residents only.  The subject and line limit are announced each year at the Spring meeting and in News 'N Notes.  The poem must be original, historically accurate and unpublished, with sources listed on a separate page.  A poet is only eligible for First Prize once every five years.  Awards will be presented at the Poetry Day Luncheon.  or contact PRA) for more details.
Sybil Nash Abrams Memorial Student Awards
