CONTEST RULES

1. Mail all entries and fees in one envelope by September 10, 2007 (postmark) to Verna Lee Hinegardner, Apt. 109, Villa Central Apts, Hot Springs, AR 71913.

2. PRA members’ entry fee of $8 covers all categories for which they are eligible. The non-member fee is $10.  Make check or money order payable to "Poets' Roundtable of Arkansas." 3. Categories 15 and 16 only: Contestants may enter up to 5 poems in each category, but must pay $1 extra for each poem above the one included in your entry fee..

4. Submit one typed original and one copy (carbon or reproduction) for each category entered with no illustrations or embellishments on entries. Place number and name of award in upper left corner of both copies. On duplicate only, place name and address in upper right corner (address label accepted).
5. All poems must be the original, unpublished work of the poet and not under consideration for publication.
6. Submit only one poem in each category (with exception of contests 15 & 16- see Rule #3). Last year's first place winner may not enter the same category this year, if the contest is identical. No poem may be entered in more than one category.
7. No entries will be returned. All manuscripts will be destroyed. No entry will be published.
8. Contest chairs are not necessarily judges.
9. Three honorable mentions will be awarded without prizes unless otherwise specified.
10. Entries not following rules will be disqualified.
